Sexyblogger no more
I went to Clementi Town Centre to run some errands, and I saw that the face-threading lady wasn't occupied. Usually when I go past, there are a few people in line. Since she was so free, I decided to patronise her business.

This is from the Newsroom bash a few months back. I'm using this picture as a control picture because I wouldn't go to a bash with my eyebrows looking awful.
And this is from this afternoon. My brows have shrunk to a shadow of their previous selves.
To be honest, I'm not that peeved. It does look nice and neat. They've just never been so scanty before. The threading hurt more than I expected it to, but it wasn't unbearable. Plus it's really effective. I went to the stall situated in front of Ho Bee jewellery store, because that's the one I'm more familiar with. There may be another one further down, I'm not sure.
If anyone laughs at my eyebrows over dinner, I'm never going back there again.

I have a serious question to ask. Ok. It's like this. From the photos posted in your blog, it seems that you're quite rich(or at least your parents). Well, I was in a premier JC in the Bukit Timah area, and I was in contact with quite a few people like you. From what I've seem, rich peoples' sons and daughters are very disciplined in their studies. Why is that so? I would have thought that all of you would be wasting your time clubbing and so on. Instead, what you all do are to perform well in both studies and ECAs. How on earth do you all do it?
Well, heh heh. Were you from NJC or HC? I can't speak for the others, but my secret is this. It's a secret which I have been trying to keep secret for very long.
I'm not rich. I'm an Asean Scholar. So you see, my house is just a humble Malaysian home, not the exalted 'landed property'. That accounts for why I'm ok in my studies.
But I hear that AC boys are rich and playful, so maybe it's the school environment. RJ kids are rich muggers, and VJ kids are just plain muggers who love their CCAs too much. Hehehe.
Hmmm. Thanks for the reply. But you didn't say exactly why you're ok in your studies. And you can choose not to answer that.
i saw someone on the train that looks like you hours ago on the north line.
she had a schawl over her, quite petite with hair like yours too, had a nice smile. She had a pda too, and most of the time seem to be deep in thought and smiling to herself or staring into empty space.
i find her amusing...juz a passing thought. i remembered when i saw ur photo...such resemblance.

suspsicious: Now you are making me suspicious too! Which jc were you from? Show and tell time! I must have been ok study-wise to be Asean Scholar right? Otherwise get kicked out. Actually I slacked big time during JC but still got through in the end. Also.. VJ premier meh? Our reputation isn't as great as RJ or HC, alas...
oil: I was an anomaly, I spent next to no time on CCAs. But my juniors devoted their lives to choir, band, olympiad... I'll assume they're more representative of VJ.
Oh. The smart type. Which JC I'm from....well, here's a hint. That JC is currently holding the canoeing championship title(last time I heard, anyway.) And don't say the JC's name out loud or something.
